Treat your fear as you would treat a snarling, angry dog.  If you run, it will chase you.  If you respond with gentleness, moving forward slowly, resisting the urge to retreat with a blood-curdling scream, it will relent.

You are meant to feel fear.  It’s part of our human experience.  Thank the fear – it’s a warning.  Heed the warning but don’t let it paralyze you.  You are meant to grow in spite of fear. Bless your fear with love, and release it.
