If you’re making progress, do you get down yourself because you didn’t check more things off your to-do list?

Do you try to “do the right thing,” but then get down on yourself for not feeling more selfless?

If you make someone’s day, do you beat yourself up for not doing more, reaching more people, more consistently?

Whatever you’ve done…whatever you’re doing…whatever your plans…they are good enough.

Don’t judge your good deeds.

You are a pebble. The world is a lake. Your actions are the ripple. Any judgement cuts the wavelength generated by your best intentions. Your self-recrimination comes between you and all the people who might enjoy the ripple effect of your brilliance and generosity.

Whatever you’ve done…whatever you’re doing…whatever your plans…they are good enough.

You’re never going to save the world if you’re stuck worrying about whether you did enough. You’re never going to achieve peace if you don’t accept that whatever you’ve done, whatever you’re doing, whatever your plans…they are good enough.

Do your best. And let it be. Then do your best again. It’s enough.
