Welcome to our new feature “PR Wednesday Winsdays” where my friend and colleague, Paulina Brusca, and I share our insider tips on some do’s and don’ts of pitching the media. Today is our first episode and we had a blast recording together as always. The topic we discussed today was the Consumer Calendar and how you can use it to plan your media pitching/PR for the year.

If you are unfamiliar with the consumer calendar, basically think of it as all the holidays and observances that happen every year, plus the various seasons like prom season, graduation season, wedding season and the November/December holidays.

In this episode we talk about how to tie these various times of year into the efforts that you may be making to pitch the media and why they love stories that relate to the consumer calendar.
